My passion for translation was born when I studied Advanced French Translation as part of my BA in Philosophy and Modern Languages at the University of Oxford. I was delighted to discover a discipline that allowed me to combine my love of languages and creative writing. My path was set and I went on to study for an MSc in Translation Studies at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with Distinction in 2007.
After completing my studies I went on to work in the housing sector for three years, but continued to accept freelance translation projects in my spare time. In 2011, I decided to leave housing in order to pursue my passion and focus upon working full-time as a freelance translator. Since then I have built up a loyal base of regular clients from around the world.
I am an Associate of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and an active member of various translators’ networks.
